Johanna Faye, Julien Fouché, Guillaume Humery & Léo Jassef

    New show 2022

An encounter between the choreographer Johanna Faye, the clarinetist Guillaume Humery, the jazz pianist Léo Jassef and the dancer-jujitsuka Julien Fouché, artists whose paths are characterized by the exploration of different dance or musical aesthetics.

In Johanna Faye’s choreographic style, the floorwork’s importance rooted in her b-girl experience meets contemporary dance’s sensitive approach. In Guillaume Humery’s work, klezmer fuses with electronic music, rock, Americana or most notably jazz through his collaboration with Léo Jassef.

This performance becomes a moment of celebration and exchange where body and music echo each other spontaneously.

In Fighting Spirit, women dancers rise above their own body and expression language so as to reach the following stake : the liberty of style. Within this revealed space for expression, they will get in touch with movements to traduce what they are : some women in greater accordance with their body and their force, where the feminine isn’t called anymore into question but embodied.

    Creation 2021

For everybody, dancing starts somewhere different. It can be through hip hop, classical, jazz, modern or African dances… There lays an intimate and universal language, a way to reflect the world around us, to convey our humanity and what words can’t express through movement. The Internet has helped to develop new ways to dance and a different relationship with the body. It has become a place of transmission where, thanks to the precious tool and viral phenomenon that tutorials are, we can now learn almost everything. Young dancers have understood this opportunity provided by the World Wide Web and seize it daily to perfect their technic and expand their choreographic culture. This observation resulted in a collaborative and interactive project imagined by Iffra Dia, Benjamin Villemagne and Antoine Vanel where dance, theater and digital technologies meet. Post Danse invites amateur dancers to question the relationship between the movement and the screen, between the gesture and the pixels, between tradition and modernity.

    Choreographer: Iffra Dia
Dancers: students from conservatories, dance schools, dance courses…

    Creation 2022

We remember how it felt… Of the state it left us in. The body and the mind keep a memory of its brutality. We can recognize this feeling of loss… The loss of ourselves, slowly or suddenly… What does remain… afterwards? To become aware of the present is, at the same time, the starting point, the journey and the realization. Stepping back is necessary in order to go through a healing process… and to bounce back. But this time around, we dive in voluntarily.

Three dancers become the vehicle of these states and surpass themselves in various ways. Envisioned as a creation that continuously renews itself, Recovering offers to live, over several weeks, different processes in immersion with each new dancer carrying the show’s intention and scheme.

In the spirit of his All 4 House concept, which regroups various hip hop events where house music holds the place of honor, Ousmane Sy’s Conférence dansée (danced conference) unites club dances and afro-house. The choreographer, assisted by four dancers and a DJ, give the audience the keys to understand a theoretical and choreographic corpus specific to house dance. The conference is followed by a jam opened to all.
