Timothée “Timo” Lejolivet is an artist who works at the intersection of dance and photography. He has been passionate about breakdancing and hip-hop culture since his teenage years with his group BTC. Since then, he has been performing at events throughout France and around the world.
At the same time, he pursued a bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science and sociology at Paris 8 University, during which he regularly chose his community and his passion as the focus of his research. It was also during this period that he (re)discovered photography as an intimate way to preserve memories.
Since then, he has developed a distinctive artistic style, closely tied to “movement”—an immersion that is at once aesthetic, spontaneous, and documentary. Through his images, he highlights both the power of the lived moment and that of the captured image. His career path blends his work as a choreographic performer—through the Black Sheep Company—with his work as a photographer.

Artist receiving support for research and publication from 2022 to 2024.
