Santiago Codon Gras left Argentina and Spain to arrive in France in 2003 at the age of 15. It was in Marseille that he discovered hip-hop dance in its entirety, and at age 18, he got his first taste of contemporary and classical dance as an amateur with the Ascendanse association, under the guidance of dancers from the Ballet des Jeunes d’Europe.
These various encounters quickly inspired him to pursue a professional career, and it was upon joining the Treizième Cercle collective, directed by Brigitte Auligine, that he met David Colas. This encounter proved pivotal to his career, allowing him to specialize in B-boying (breakdancing) and develop a style centered on musicality and originality, influenced by all his previous experiences.
At the same time, he teamed up with David Colas, with whom he founded the Phorm company in 2013. In search of new inspiration, he assisted with choreography for other groups such as the Mozaïk and Ecklectik companies and worked as a hip-hop dance instructor at the Centre des Arts du Cirque Balthazar.
Currently based in Paris since 2015, Santiago Codon Gras continues his work as a dancer-performer with companies such as Par Terre (with whom he is currently collaborating) to refine his choreographic style and his vision of live performance.
He created his first solo piece, Divin@media.com, in 2018, followed by Dinosaure in 2023.
