Collectif offense

Founded in 2018 in Toulouse, the offense collective is made up of artists working in circus, theater, music, performance, installations, illustration, and literature. From the very beginning, it has brought together artists trained at ENSATT, the Lido, the LABO class in Toulouse, and the CRR in Lyon, as well as enthusiastic self-taught artists, united by a desire to reflect on our times and the urgent need to experiment with transdisciplinary collective creation.
From this starting point, we experiment in every direction to bring to life stories that reflect who we are: we create multifaceted shows, exhibitions, performances, radio installations, and moments that are experiences—attempts to be together. These forms are meant to reflect our daily reflections, nourished by encounters and research. Always rooted in our realities, we are constantly seeking the best medium to tell our stories.
Following our first production in 2019, FLAQUES (big enough for two)—a show that tells the story of the quest for water in a post-apocalyptic world—the offense collective is now working on Anatomie du départ, a large-scale project exploring departures with no return in the contemporary world. This project initially takes the form of on-site creative workshops (Mix’art Myrys, Théâtre des Clochards Célestes, La Méandre, L’Échangeur – CDCN Hauts-de-France), resulting in ephemeral, immersive productions.
We are also working to create a repertoire of various forms (performances, shows, installations, exhibitions) centered on several points of departure with no return (gender transition, departure into space, departure into struggle, old age). Mon Dessin – Anatomie de transition, a multimedia, puppetry, and musical performance exploring gender transition created in 2021, is the first work in this extensive repertoire of departures. Hope Future – Anatomy of a Departure into Space, created in 2024, is the second work in the repertoire. What Remains – Anatomy of Memories, a participatory project involving readings and creative work with LGBTQIA+ seniors, is currently in development in partnership with the Espace des Diversités (Toulouse). I’m Leaving – Anatomy of Departures in Struggle, a liturgical performance exploring departures in struggle throughout time and across the world, will premiere in February 2025. Stealing Fire – Anatomy of Transition #2 will be the fifth piece in the series and will premiere in November 2025.
