Bounce—that’s where it all comes from. Bounce, a simple word that captures one of the foundations of our dance: the space between the sounds and the impact of the floor on our bodies.
We started dancing to escape our daily lives and create our own. Above all, we’re a group that—just like in the early days of hip hop culture—wants to defend a cultural heritage we hold dear. Since 2013, we’ve been exploring the world of freestyle hip hop through both movement and music, traversing its various eras and origins. It’s important for us to know the early pioneers, their journeys, and their mindsets. Although this dance form was born out of a protest movement, it has always conveyed values such as respect, sharing, brotherly love, and pushing one’s limits. We embody and live by these very same values. Sons of Wind
