Recovering

We remember how it made us feel… The state it left us in. Body and mind hold onto its brutality, like a library. We can recognise the sensation of loss… of oneself, gradually or all at once… What remains… afterwards? Becoming aware of the present is at once the starting point, the journey and the realisation. Embarking on a path to healing requires taking a step back… to better leap forward. But this time we dive in willingly.
A shared introspection within the healing process through pushing one’s limits. Three performers become the vessels for these states and push themselves in unpredictable ways. Conceived as a work that is constantly evolving, Recovering invites audiences to experience immersive protocols over several weeks. Each new performer becomes the bearer of the piece’s intention and structure.
