Shifting Pop

The Shifting Pop movement style that Linda Hayford has been developing since 2016 in her works (Shapeshifting, AlShe/Me, Recovering) has its roots in the technique of popping, a funk-style dance form that originated in the United States, in which the choreographer and dancer excels. Both a postural body language and a specific technical tool, it unfolds through body isolations and placements and is designed to be embodied and delivered with an organic awareness. Today, Linda Hayford offers a programme of instruction and training aimed at both dancers and non-dancers seeking to explore movement in a different way. There are several options available: from workshops to week-long courses, depending on the participants’ background and individual experience.
