Post Danse — Iffra Dia
Creation 2021
For everybody, dancing starts somewhere different. It can be through hip hop, classical, jazz, modern or African dances… There lays an intimate and universal language, a way to reflect the world around us, to convey our humanity and what words can’t express through movement. The Internet has helped to develop new ways to dance and a different relationship with the body. It has become a place of transmission where, thanks to the precious tool and viral phenomenon that tutorials are, we can now learn almost everything. Young dancers have understood this opportunity provided by the World Wide Web and seize it daily to perfect their technic and expand their choreographic culture. This observation resulted in a collaborative and interactive project imagined by Iffra Dia, Benjamin Villemagne and Antoine Vanel where dance, theater and digital technologies meet. Post Danse invites amateur dancers to question the relationship between the movement and the screen, between the gesture and the pixels, between tradition and modernity.
