Earthbound

From free jazz to electro, Earthbound celebrates the richness of a rebellious, underground dance scene. Building on their duo Iskio, created in 2015, Johanna Faye and Saïdo Lehlouh have developed a personal, fluid and dynamic language in which genuine danced conversations take place. With this new creation, the two artists explore the relationships between choreographer, performer and audience, through a style born of the moment and the time spent improvising together.
Exploring uncharted territory and seeking vulnerability in movement are just some of the shared guidelines for pushing the boundaries of the performance. Performers, musicians, and sometimes both at once, bring to life on stage the many aesthetics of hip hop, the cultures and ways of being that stem from it, and which are expressed through dance. Each individual’s personality is the key to this authenticity, which is embodied in every fibre of the body and every modulation of sound.
Earthbound is a collective jam session where the cards are reshuffled each time, leaving the audience free to defy their expectations and shift their perspective.
