R1R2 Start – the title project itself is inspired by one of the many possible combinations of a game console controller’s analog buttons – proposes a journey in a universe whose language, born of the encounter between 0 and 1, has emerged a global cultural phenomenon. In R1R2 Start, real world and virtual one, whatever the era is, meet together on stage to draw again 30 years of popular video game culture. Bouside Ait Atmane diverts the icons of the geek culture with an original jocular way.

The Centre chorégraphique national de Rennes et de Bretagne, directed by the collective FAIR-E, is an association that receives grants from the Ministry of Culture (Direction régionale des Affaires culturelles / Bretagne), the city of Rennes, the Regional Council of Brittany and Ille-et-Vilaine Departemental Council.
Co-production: Initiatives d’Artistes en Danses Urbaines – Fondation de France – La Villette, 2016 and 2017.
With the support of the DRAC Île-de-France under the project aid 2017, SPEDIDAM, ADAMI, the city of Paris under the studio residency aid, the city of Créteil, Houdremont, scène conventionnée de La Courneuve and Moov’n Aktion.
This project was selected as a part of Premières lignes 2016 – l’Atelier à spectacle – Scène conventionnée de Dreux agglomération (Vernouillet-28).
