Suzanne is an Italian-French dancer who specialises in whacking. She moved from Milan to Paris in 2018 to become a professional dancer. She attended three different dance schools: Studio MRG, AID and CFA Pietragalla-Derouault. There, she learnt the basics of hip hop, house dance, dancehall, Afro and street jazz whilst also training in contemporary, jazz and classical dance. During this time, Suzanne discovered whacking in a dance class in Paris. She then began practising this style during lockdown. After the pandemic, whacking classes resumed, and she had the opportunity to develop her skills further with the Ma Dame Paris collective in 2022. After completing her final year at dance school, where she also studied theatre, she began working as a full-time dancer with the Madoki Company and the Nassangar Company, with whom she co-created STUCK. She also danced at the Paris National Opera in the opera Romeo and Juliet and in Saïdo Lehlouh’s play Apaches. Suzanne is also a member of a Paris-based whacking collective called Delacrème.
